TCRC New Member
 Flight Certification Process

1.
After submitting a membership application, dues, and valid AMA number, new members will be issued a Temporary membership card.
2.
Prior to flying solo flights, new members must demonstrate adequate piloting skills of their RC aircraft to any active TCRC club member.  Adequate flight skills consist of controlled takeoff, ascent, decent, figure eight maneuver, a race track pattern, and controlled landing.
3.
Upon successfully demonstrating adequate in-flight aircraft control, the witnessing TCRC member will “Sign-Off” on the Temporary card certifying the new member for solo flight. Once the Temporary membership card is certified, the New Member will inform the club officers (see below for instructions) that he/she has been certified for solo flight and needs a permanent membership card issued.
4.
The Temporary membership card will remain valid and used until the permanent membership card is printed.
5.
Permanent membership cards are printed once a month.  Once created, permanent membership cards are left in the top center desk draw in the club house for members to pick up.
