Getting Started

One of the biggest mistakes made by people wanting to learn to fly remote control is to go it alone! After spending the time to build a plane either by kit or ARF the last thing you want to do it see it climb out to 100' and spiral in and become splinters. Nothing could turn you off of a hobby faster than that!

That's why we encourage you to find a flying club and a instructor to help you get off to a good start, even if you don't choose Triple Creek RC do yourself a favor and find a club to use. You will find that there is always someone eager to help you get started in this great hobby.

If you are not sure if this is want you would like to or be able to do, we have a club trainer and radio and would encourage you to let us know and we will be sure that a instructor and plane will be on hand for you to give it a try at no cost to you. We prefer using the "Buddy Box System", this is where two radios are connected by a control cable and the instructor can assume control of the plane if you get into trouble. Saving both the plane and your desire to learn to fly!

Flight Simulators

One of the best advantages you might have when learning to fly is a flight simulator. It is also helpful in refining your aerobatics once you get to that point.
